TED Thursday: Making Peace With Lions

June 27, 2013

13 year old Richard Turere is from Kenya and is from the Masai tribe. The Masai are cattle farmers. Farming where they do their cattle often get attacked by lions. He came up with an ingenious idea to scare off the lions from his cowshed at night: lion lights.

I love these kind of stories, especially at the end where he talks about his one idea has helped him get a scholarship and work towards fulfilling his dreams.
