I love Faffalete, that’s definitely going in! Sealfest is pretty similar to The Black Plague though.

Faffalete – someone who has loads of kit, swim toys (paddles, pull buoys etc) and notes left at the end of the pool or circuit with loads of notes on them. As in, “I wanted to do a continuous swim, but the faffaletes were having a conference at the end of the lane.”

Sealfest – Tooting Bec lido between 6 and 7.30 in the morning. Usually accompanied by the faint aroma of urine.

Hi Swam

You have a very appropriate name. In the summer, probably in August or September, I’m going to swim the English Channel. When I get to France I’m going to get back on my bike and cycle around the world, starting by riding across Europe and Asia to South Korea. Dan;I’d like to say you need to get out more, however I see you are!
Sally and Wendy have both crock with various ailments but are now managing some pool swims. Sea Water temperature in Jersey at present a balmy (for you!)7.6c No sign of more stable warmer weather for quite some time.
