So far we’ve covered the Best War Films (Non WWII), Best Westerns, Best WWII Films, Best Crime/Gangster Films, Best Sports Films and Best Sports Documentaries.

The Guardian

This is Top Gun for coastguard rescue swimming. You probably haven’t seen it but it’s amazing. It’s got the old wisened sea dog who’s heroic know no bounds and the new young talented upstart-it’s a phenomenal film. Watch it, watch it now.

Cinderella Man

I’m a sucker for true stories and sports films and this combines both. Russell Crowe, Renée Zellweger and Paul Giamatti give outstanding performances in this film about a broken old boxer coming back to fight in the Wolrd Heavyweight title bout. Watch it, watch it now.

Cool Runnings

“Hey Dorice, ya dead man?” “Nah man I gots to finish the race…” Watch it, watch it now.

Top Gun

Top Gun is the Top Gun for fighter planes. It’s amazing. Watch it, watch it now.

Forrest Gump

This film always has a way of explaining things so as I can understand them. On trips I grow a decent Forrest Gump beard and also love ice cream.

I could watch all five of those, back to back, time and time again!
